*I know what your saying....."what in the hell is an Anti-Seuss poem??? Well,it started out for me as a writing exercise.You take a one syllable word and put it in a rhyme program.......then make a poem with the words that rhyme with that one particular word.The one syllable word is the subject of the poem.For instance.....if you used the word rain,then the poem is about rain,etc.,etc. You can make them funny, serious, dramatic, romantic,strange or whatever you want.You can use the words anywhere in a sentence,but the sentence has to end with a rhyming word.You can use people's names too!
Now,where did the name Anti-Seuss come from?Well, most of the poems (or at least mine)sound like twisted adult versions of a Dr. Seuss poem! I cannot take credit for the name....that goes to my best friend and my inspiration! Thanks Scott!
I think most people already know what a Picture Poem is.You write a poem about a picture.....any subject.....any picture.It can be a photo or a piece of art.It can be an original of yours or something you find on the internet.....whatever moves you! Who created this?I have no idea!I've seen it in several places!So far I've written funny ones and mostly about animals.But plan on doing some serious and romantic ones.So keep reading....you never know what you will find on Planet Majesty!!!
